Ian Wright says 24-goal hitman can win the league for Arsenal
Premier League, Transfers October 31, 2016According to a frankly ridiculous report in the Metro, Arsenal legend Ian Wright claims Manchester City’s striker Sergio Aguero has the quality that Arsenal needs to win the Premier League title.
It’s been rumoured recently that the Argentine international striker has fallen out of favour under new manager Pep Guardiola and has been relegated to the bench a few times recently for City. Guardiola denies there is a problem between them and Guardiola has made it clear that he wants Aguero to remain at the Etihad Stadium ‘for a long time’.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright however, hopes the ace becomes overlooked by the City boss, and Arsenal will be given a chance to land him, Wright told BT Sport as quoted by Metro:
‘What I would like to happen is that Pep continues to mess around with Aguero and then Arsenal buy him, and then we just win the league off the back of that, simple as that.’
The Argentine international performances over the recent season has been impressive and he managed to net 24 goals in 30 league appearance last season and 7 goals in 8 appearances so far this season as City top the Premier League on goal difference.
