Wenger wants to complete surprise signing for £220,000-a-week star – fans will like this

Premier League, Transfers

Good morning everyone, here is another brand new week after a weekend of missed chances, but with no real harm done as our unbeaten run continues after our 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough.

With City and Sp*rs drawing, and United dropping points, it’s all to play for with just a point separating the top five in the league, with us in second place on goal difference. For all of the best odds on this season’s exciting title race, head over here and claim some excellent sign up bonuses.

During the summer Arsene Wenger made some great signings bringing in five players, and letting go some of the deadwood, in Arteta, Rosicky, Flamini etc. The players which he bought in are all settling in well, and especially Xhaka and Mustafi have all slotted in like they’d always been Gooners.

Now, as we turn our attention to yet another transfer window, the silly rumours are kicking off and the latest report from the Sunday Express claims Wenger is trying to lure none other than Yaya Toure to Arsenal this January!

They reported that we are trying to land the highly-rated African midfielder as he has fallen out of favour at the Etihad Stadium and is getting increasingly frustrated at finding himself on the bench under City’s new manager Pep Guardiola.

I don’t personally think there is any truth in this report, as it widely believed Sir Wenger doesn’t usually got for ‘old’ players, and realistically do we really need another player in the midfield?

The 33-year-old ace was formerly linked with a move to Arsenal when he underwent a successful trial at the North London club back in 2003, but as usual work permit issues prevented a permanent move.
