CL – Ludogorets Team News – Duo Close in on Return
Champions League, Match Preview October 18, 2016Arsene Wenger revealed the team news ahead of tomorrow nights game at home to the Bulgarian side Ludogorets.
He said we have the same squad available as we had at the weekend against Swansea, and despite making good progress Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud won’t feature.
The have both been training separate from the rest of the squad today and Arsene Wenger said that they are both close to a return.
Giroud has played less than 80 minutes all season after picking up a mysterious toe injury, while Ramsey limped out of our first game against Liverpool and hasn’t played since.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs will both be hoping for a rare start, as will striker Lucas Perez, but with back to back to back wins with our current side, it’s hard to see who could make way up top.
Alexis, Ozil and Theo all seem to be undroppable right now but perhaps Le Boss will see the Champions League as a chance to rotate and rest up our key players for the Premier League.
A win for us and PSG would take us up to 7 points each, leaving Ludogorets and Basel with just a point, meaning we’re in with a great chance of qualifying nice and early when we visit Bulgaria in two weeks time.
