Despite the winter transfer window not being even remotely ajar as yet, the media are still going strong, linking us to several players this week, the latest being a report in The Mirror now claiming that Goncalo Guedes is wanted by Arsenal.
They also report that Manchester United are showing a keen interest in landing the 19-year-old ace.
It’s believed that Guedes has a 50m Euro buy-out clause in his current contract which will expire in 2021, and either of the aforementioned clubs will have to trigger this mammoth clause to complete the signing of the Guedes.
It seems Manchester United have sent their scout to watch over the Guedes’ performance in Benfica’s 4-0 win over Feirense at the weekend.
His recent performances has been impressive, and he has made 36 appearances for the club and according to reports in Portugal, Arsene Wenger is already trying to arrange a meeting with the Benfica President to kick start talks.
