Burnley Team News – 3 Key Players Missing for Arsenal
Match Preview, Premier League September 30, 2016Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey and Francis Coquelin will all miss our game with Burnley this weekend.
We play last this weekend, the 4:30pm slot on Sunday after Spurs and City play each other, and Arsene Wenger will be celebrating 20 years in charge with the visit to Turf Moor.
Arsene Wenger confirmed the key omissions:
“Aaron Ramsey should be available after the international break (hamstring), Giroud will be out, (toe)…”
He added ominously:
“He will not come back…” Eek.
“Coquelin is looking much better but he will still not be ready, the ligament is not as damaged as we thought but we have to be careful…”
We’ll be hoping for a ninth game unbeaten with a great chance to close the gap on the top two clubs, who as aforementioned, play each other at White Hart Lane.
We, ourselves have enjoyed many great visits to White Hart Lane, winning two league titles there in 1971 and 2004, meanwhile Spurs haven’t won the league themselves since 1961.
We also signed Sol Campbell once, who went on to be a great player for us, you may remember him from such clubs as Spurs, for whom he was Captain, until he joined Arsenal in the best transfer shock EVER.
