Deal done: Arsenal target completes move, not Perez or Mustafi

West ham have completed the signing of Simone Zaza on a long-term loan from Juventus, according to Sky Sports.

They report that the Hammers have signed the Italian international striker in a deal worth around £5m, with the deal to become a permanent for an additional £20m based on his West Ham appearances.

It was reported by TalkSport back in April that Arsenal and Chelsea had formally showing a keen interest in signing the player.

The highly-rated striker who is the Hammers 11th signing of this summer transfer window found it difficult to become a regular starter for of Juventus last season, scoring 8 goals in 24 appearances for the Serie A defending champions before playing for Italy at Euro 2016 in France.

The 25-year-old ace, has already played in a London stadium this summer, scoring the winner against West Ham in a friendly, which ended in a 3-2 win for Juve.

Zaza said on the club’s official website:

“I want to thank everyone for welcoming me including the fans and everyone at the club. I wanted to start a new experience and I feel this is the right choice for me. I have been fortunate enough to have already played at the new Stadium with a different shirt. It is a beautiful stadium and I felt the warmth of the fans and this was a big reason why I wanted to join the club. I want to become a better player and I know I can do that at West Ham. Unfortunately we could not qualify for the Europa League, but I am hoping I can help the club do that next season.”
