“I am very happy to be here” – Arsenal’s new signing gives huge update

Arsenal will officially announce the signing of Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi after Arsene Wenger confirmed their deals have been all but completed. Mustafi will join his new team mates after the international break, while Lucas Perez will join straight away as he’s not been picked for Spain.

Regarding another signing, once again, the Arsenal work permit issue has reared its ugly head, and Takumo Asano, will now be sent on loan to Stuttgart in an attempt to gain him some important first team experience.

The highly-rated attacker netted four goals in 14 J-League outings last season and also scored twice in the three games at this summer’s Olympic Games for Japan.

Stuttgart play in the Bundesliga second division so Asano would be hoping to get some first team minutes which should help him develop and be ready for Arsene Wenger’s squad once the paperwork is eventually sorted out.

The club wished the 21-year-old ace good luck with the German club, and said on the club’s official website:

“We would like to wish Takuma well for his season in Stuttgart.

The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”

Asano himself, told the Stuttgart official website:

“I am very happy to be here. I look forward to the time in Stuttgart and want to do my part to ensure that the club achieves its goals.”

On the pitch, we won our first game of the season today, with a 3-1 win away at Watford. A Santi penalty and Alexis and Ozil scoring the other two, all in the first half. We now have two weeks away from league action as the international break is upon us.

Once we return, with no further injuries, it could be time to welcome Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi back, just leaving Gabriel, Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck in the treatment room. There is also a small chance of more signings next week as the f*cking transfer window slams shut with yet more rumours today of a move for Kames Rodriguez.
