£90,000-a-week Arsenal star may miss Friday’s game

England and Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere missed the Gunners clash against Chivas de Guadalajara on Sunday which ended 3-1 to The Arsenal, and it’s looking unlikely he’ll play much of our next game against Viking in Norway this Friday evening.

Arsene Wenger revealed the England international will travel but hasn’t confirmed if the midfielder will be fit to play in the clash due to patella injury,  I think he ran out of those giant prawns and had to replace them wit— oh, patella, sorry.

The 24-year-old ace struggled to be fit last season and only made one Premier League start, despite this he made it to England’s fated Euro 2016 campaign, but only played for a handful of minutes.

Wenger said, via FourFourTwo on Jack’s injury:

“It’s a slight patella problem but I think he should be with us on tour on Thursday, I hope he will, yes.

Wenger added on Santi Cazorla, also out injured:

“He is our technical security in midfield and we missed him for five or six months last season. At the moment he is not completely there on the fitness front. That’s why I took him off at half-time (against Guadalajara) He’s a bit behind the others physically but I think he will be alright, maybe not on August 14th, but at the end of August he should be alright…”

The Gunners French manager was happy with the result against our Mexican opponents in Los Angeles which ended in a 3-1 victory. Chuba Akpom, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Rob Holding on the scoresheet to help secure the win on Sunday.

Wenger said on the game:

“Overall I think it was interesting for us because we needed to be patient as they started better than us. After 20 minutes we came into the game and we got a comfortable win in the end. It was very interesting to see some young players – we had a very young defence. Overall it was a positive experience for us…”

Arsenal will be playing Manchester City in Gothenburg on Sunday after playing Viking. Let all this season isn’t another one ruined by injuries to key players.
