Arsenal wants to land Serie A striker amid Watford and West Ham interest
It looks like another day will pass with no new striker (or CB), despite it seems, Arsene Wenger being linked with every available forward in Europe since the beginning of the transfer window.
As you know, we are being linked with so many strikers including Morata, Vardy, Higuain, Mahrez and Lacazette amongst others, and for now at least, it looks like we’re not getting any of them. Lacazette, the latest to be linked, but today the Lyon President said that he is not expecting any more bids for Lacazette and doesn’t think he’ll now leave.
So, the pursuit of a striker is set to continue for Wenger, and a new hat in the ring is that of Mario Mandzukic, Juventus keen to offload the striker after the recent acquisition of Gonzalo Higuain. A report in Gazzetta World claims the arrival of Higuain to the Turin stadium will see the 30 year-old Croatian leave for pastures new, and they further report that Arsenal, West Ham and Watford are all keen to sign him.
The former Bayern Munich striker had a lacklustre season with Juve, and scored 10 times in just 23 appearances, but is this really the answer to our striker problem? Probably not, but as the time ticks by, it seems we could be getting desperate.
