Arsenal Edge Closer to Missing Out on Mahrez
Following missing out on Jamie Vardy back in June, Arsenal are closing in on missing out on his Leicester team mate Riyad Mahrez in the coming days.
It’s thought the player has said he wants to leave Leicester who have a meeting booked in for later today where they will definitely offer Mahrez a pay rise which he will definitely accept to stay at Leicester later this evening. A move that looks like causing many hopeful Arsenal fans to spontaneously combust on the spot.
After this weekends report in The Mirror, Arsenal fans are getting super excited about missing out on such a high profile player, Mahrez having won the PFA Player of the Year last year, mainly because he played for Leicester.

It’s also thought Lyon’s star striker Alexandre Lacazette is another player Arsene Wenger is probably not interested in, but also about to miss out on despite spending most of today packing for the US tour.
The list of players we’ve been linked to this summer is endless, Gonzalo Higuain, Mauro Icardi and Alvaro Morato to name a few, all players Arsene Wenger probably isn’t bothered about but ones we’ve certainly missed out on due to them being inexplicably linked to a move to Arsenal by John Cross, then going elsewhere.
Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed today that centre back pairing; Per Mertesacker and Gabriel will miss our USA tour through injury (leg and tonsil respectively) and it’s also thought that Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and his French team mate, Laurent Koscielny will all miss the opening game of the season against Liverpool after their involvement in the European Championship semi-finals.
Meanwhile Aaron Ramsey is still hoping no one notices he was suspended for Wales semi-final defeat by Portugal and has managed to get himself a free week off even though his last competitive game was actually on July the 1st.
Alexis Sanchez is expected to be ready for the Liverpool game despite the horrific ankle injury he suffered at the Copa America. He’s not expected to recover in time, he just couldn’t care less and has already ran 3 marathons since it happened. He recently came out of his hotel on holiday in Mexico for a quick swim and accidentally won the Guadalajara Iron Man 2016 contest.
