Holding Close to Signing, Icardi Jets In, Pokemon what now
Bellerin Happy at Arsenal…
Our super speedy Spanish starlet Hector Bellerin rebuffed an approach from Pep Guardiola this week ahead of the new season.
The youngster has said he’s happy with Arsenal, but flattered by the interest from Pep, and he’s going nowhere.
Bit harsh, but pretty fair, unless we get a striker in, I think he’s about right… wait, what? Oh.
Holding out for a Hero…
It looks like Rob Holding has all but signed on the dotted line this morning at The Emirates. The 20 year old has impressed many people this season, with even the unlikeliest of sources claiming ‘he’s the real deal’, i.e. Man United fans!
The Bolton youngster looks all set to move from Lancashire down to London, with everything in place including a passed medical. Sky Sports are saying the deal is close, and that he was left out of a friendly against Tranmere this week…
Wellington Gives Arsenal the Boot…
Wellington Silva, the Brazilian wonderkid who never really got his chance at Arsenal has signed for his boyhood club Fluminese, returning to Brazil and signing a four year deal. He was loaned out no less than six times, and never featured for the first team, and was always on the look out for a work permit, Pokemon style.
The youngster said: “I am very happy. I want to thank Fluminense for this opportunity to return after so long. The desire to return has always existed. When I learned that it was possible to return 10 days ago I was nervous, anxious. I am very happy and I have no words. Now it is time to train and get onto the pitch as quickly as possible…”
The Italian Sunday Sport, the Corriere Dello Sport are carrying a report that Argentine striker Mauro Icardi’s agent/wife is coming to London for talks with Arsenal. There’s been many rumours this week of Wenger being on the brink of signing another striker, and Icardi is now added to the long list of Lacazette, Higuain, Morata and many, many more.
However, if the rumours about his wife jetting in are right, then the 23 year old could be on his way to The Emirates to partner with Olivier Giroud up top, and with the signing of Rob Holding, Granit Xhaka and the little Japanese fella, it’s hard to imagine that Wenger won’t be putting away his moth-ridden, antique wallet for another transfer window…
Campbell Also Going Nowhere…
Joel Campbell has announced the rumours of his impending move to Valencia are greatly exaggerated. He’s ready to stay and fight for his place, despite ongoing rumours of an incoming Arsene Wenger madness.
The Costa Rican said: “There are always rumours, but I don’t talk about those things, I just focus on doing my thing, which is to train day to day, fight and to try to give my best…”
