Arsenal Players That Are Making Fans Proud At The Euro’s

There were ten Arsenal players in action at the 2016 Euro’s in France this summer, when the tournament began and many have been leading their teams to victory.

Many of the players are storming ahead, claiming goals and man of the matches, and although not all countries have managed to make it through (such as the Czech Republic in which Petr Cech featured in their 2-0 defeat to Turkey), many countries are storming ahead, and a lot of this has come from Arsenal players. If you think that you have luck on your side and will be able to predict the scores for the upcoming games in the Euro’s tournament, check out the Ladbrokes’ football score predictor.

Olivier Giroud

Olivier Giroud has been one of France’s stars this tournament, with great responsibility for Antoine Griezmann’s goals in their 2-1 win over the Republic of Ireland – the first due to three defenders going to cover Giroud, leaving Griezmann with a free header and the second due to a great knockdown.

Giroud was a key player in the game against the Republic of Ireland, regularly feeding Griezmann in who was in on goal. The 29-year old has made three appearances for his country this tournament, and has scored one goal and had one assist so far, and is looking to be a strong player to help carry his squad through the tournament.

Laurent Koscielny

Koscielny has easily been the strongest of France’s back-line and has generally held the squad’s defence together throughout the tournament.

The French boss Didier Deschamps has backed Koscielny to be the anchor of France’s defence and the player had his best game at the Euro’s so far, with their 2-1 win over the Republic of Ireland, which allowed France to advance to the quarter-finals.

Mesut Ozil

The German star is a fantastic playmaker in the German side, and although their wins over teams haven’t necessarily been convincing, (Germany 2-0 Ukraine, Poland 0-0 Germany, Northern Ireland 0-1 Germany), Ozil has been on fine form throughout the tournament so far. In the 2-0 win against Ukraine, Ozil had a late chance, but was denied by a good save, and preceded to continually run the length of the pitch, like the workhorse he is.

In the game against Poland, Ozil played the full 90 minutes and again forced the keeper into a great save late on in the match. However, it was the game against Northern Ireland where Ozil truly shined, getting close to opening the scoring and consistently supplying his team mates with chances throughout the game. It was in this game where Ozil deservedly achieved man of the match. In total, Mesut Ozil’s game statistics show that he had 4 shots, created 6 chances, 91 total touches, 68 passes and a pass accuracy of 98.5% throughout the game.

Aaron Ramsey

Welsh player Ramsey is generally a box-to-box midfielder for his national squad and has been one of the key players in the Welsh success so far throughout the tournament. Firstly, he scored an early goal and played a hand in the following two goals in their 3-0 win against Russia in order to win Group B.

He appears to have created a great partnership with fellow Welshman Gareth Bale throughout the tournament and is tipped to do something spectacular throughout the rest of Wales’ Euro campaign. Ramsey is also set to captain Wales in the Euro 2016 quarter-final if Ashley Williams doesn’t make it after damaging his shoulder in the game against Northern Ireland. Euro 2016 could be Ramsey’s time to shine.
