We Gave Them Wat-Four!(d)…
Arsenal 4 (four) – 0 Watford…
As our amazing and inevitable title bid gathers pace, we tore apart a concentrating-on-the-cup Watford side in the Emirates sunshine on Saturday afternoon.
An early goal from the back with a bang Alexis Sanchez preceded an Iwobi goal in the first half, then a goal just after the break from Bellerin and a tap in for Theo in the last minute saw us run out 4-0 winners against the side who had impressively dumped us out of the FA Cup a couple of weeks ago.
In other news, new(ish) signing Mohammed Elneny broke the record for the most passes in a single game, with 121, surpassing Santi Cazorla (sob!) who held the record at 120 for the game against Newcastle earlier in the season.
The best news of all was the boys actually looked like they were all back on form, with Ozil and Sanchez running things, Theo actually scoring, and everyone smiling in the North London sunshine. With no midweek games now (apart from one, don’t get me started on that one) could we be about to launch a final, last chance assault on the Champions elect Leicester City? Here’s hoping for a big win at West Ham next weekend, and the pressure is back on.
The latest on all of our loaned players is here…
Jack In Trouble Again…
According to various reports Jack Wilshere has been innvolved in another scuffle in London this weekend.
Jack has denied reports, there were no arrests made, and the club are calling it a private matter but talk of a fine for Jack has been mooted…
