A few days back, a report from The Mirror reckons that the German international is trying to get a brand new five year deal worth over £41m that will earn him a whopping £160,000-a-week, but in a new report from the same paper, they think the German international is now close to agreeing a deal worth around £200,000-a-week to stay with Arsenal.
Currently, the highly-rated midfielder is in great form, and along with his countless assists week in week out, he’s also managed to score 7 goals already this season, taking Arsenal to within touching distance of the league leaders Liverpool. He’s also played well in Europe and helped Arsenal already into the last 16 of the Champions League, where we’re just waiting to see if we get knocked out by Bayern Munich or Barcelona in the quarter finals after getting through the next round in a nail biting away goals victory.
The paper is confident that the playmaker will sign a record deal that that will make him the highest paid player at The Emirates and we’re also trying to tie down Alexis Sanchez to a long term deal to remain at the club.
