Report: Arsenal Duo Injured on International Duty
Injuries, Internationals November 8, 2016Alexis Sanchez has torn a muscle on international duty with Chile as his side prepares to take on David Ospina’s Colombia in the World Cup Qualifiers.
It was initially feared that Sanchez could be out for up to four months, but these rumours have been scotched with the news that he only suffered a strain and not a tear in his calf muscle, and that he should be ok to play their second game of the interlull against Uruguay.
This comes hot on the heels of the news that Hector Bellerin will also miss his side’s next game, Spain’s U21 clash with Austria on Friday (g’day mate).
He’s picked up a ‘light injury’ in training and also could just miss one game, like his Arsenal team mate Sanchez.
Finally, in the injury disaster update, Santi Cazorla is also still injured, and there were rumours of another setback tonight, but this was just Twitter, so we’ll leave that one there for now unless Akers telexes us any more later on.
