Deal close: highly-rated star set to complete signing for Arsenal in the next two weeks

Transfers

It is widely believed that Arsenal are now one of the clubs in the Premier League that have the best squads after a strong start to the season, even coping with several injuries, demonstrating strength in depth as the season wears on.

Spanish international full back Hector Bellerin has developed amazingly under Wenger and become a world-class player and forced his way into Wenger’s first team plans, and now remains Wenger’s first choice right back.

Over recent months, the 21-year-old ace has been linked with move to rejoin Barcelona, but the latest reports now claim that the La Liga giants are ready to give up in a bid to sign the Spanish international after Bellerin admitted last week if he wanted to play for them, he’d never have left. There were also recent claims that Man City were also keen on his signature.

The report from the The Sun claims that Bellerin is close to signing a deal with the North London outfit, which would see him remain at The Emirates on a long term deal, along with Mesut Ozil, another five year deal being talked about, perhaps even to be signed in the next week or two.

They also reported last month that the new deal with the North London outfit will see his salary will increase from £50,000 to £96,000-a-week.

Last season, Bellerin featured in 44 games for Arsenal and even managed a goal, and eight assists, his performances have been increasingly impressive and he has helped Arsenal at both ends of the pitch with his speed up and down the flank and his crossing and assist play improving all the time.

As far I am concerned he remains the best right back in the Premier league and it only Philipp Lahm of Bayern Munich is better than him in Europe today and I can’t wait for Bellerin to put pen to paper.
