Arsenal get injury update: ace likely to miss Swansea clash
Injuries, Premier League October 12, 2016Exciting news coming out of the Arsenal news barracks today, as Welsh international midfield Aaron Ramsey has resumed full training ahead of the Swansea game this weekend.
It’s likely that Ramsey won’t be fit enough to feature in the clash and Arsene Wenger will be keen not to rush him back given the nature of his hamstring injury picked up against Liverpool at the start of the season which ended in a 4-3 home defeat.
It is widely believed that since his injury, other players have played exceptionally well and the Welshman may even struggle to get his place back, with the likes of Granit Xhaka, Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin all having shone since the start of the season.
It’s likely that Coquelin will not feature in the game against Swansea either as he has not fully recovered from the knee injury he sustained in the 3-0 win against Chelsea few weeks ago and it’s expected that Xhaka will partner Cazorla in the heart of the midfield.
Like Ramsey, Coquelin is also coming back from injury and will need to fight for a chance in Wenger’s first team plans in the midfield.
We have hit a great run of form over the past few weeks, culminating in a gutsy (yet slightly lucky) win over Burnley a couple of weeks ago, and the lads will be looking to get revenge over Swansea for their crippling 2-1 defeat at The Emirates last time out.
