Good news – Highly-rated attacker on the verge of signing for Arsenal
Premier League October 6, 2016Nigerian ace Alex Iwobi put pen to paper on a new deal just six week ago and is now on the verge of extending his contract at the Emirates Stadium already.
Reliable news outlet The Daily Mirror claim that Iwobi’s dazzling footwork and brilliant recent performances have lead to Arsenal offering him an extension on his newly signed deal already.
Currently, the 20-year-old Nigerian is reportedly earning £25k-a-week and should remain at the North London till 2020, but there is speculation flying round claiming that the highly-rated winger will be offered an even better contract.
It’s widely believed that Iwobi is now a regular starter in Arsene Wenger’s first team plans after showing he is capable of delivering brilliant performance week in week out.
Manchester City attacker De Bruyne is the only player that have a better assist record than Iwobi so far this season – since the season’s opening game against Liverpool, Iwobi has provided 3 assists so far.
Iwobi can play on both sides, and made his first appearance for Arsenal in October last year when we lost 3-0 in the League Cup away to Sheffield Wednesday, a game we’d all like to forget.
Watching Iwobi in many occasions shows the he has the potential to be better than Angel Di Maria and I personally believe that under a manager like Wenger he can easily achieve that.
