Star confirms he wants to sign for Arsenal – fans will love this
Premier League October 5, 2016The fear of Spain international midfielder Santi Cazorla leaving Arsenal seem to be coming to an end as the ace has confirmed he is ready to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The 31-year-old ace’s current deal with Arsenal will be expiring next summer but he said last week that he has not heard anything over the extension his contract but he’d be more than happy to stay.
The Spanish international has been linked with a move back to Spain but insists he wants to remain at the Emirates Stadium.
He said as quoted by SER via Metro:
‘Atletico Madrid are an amazing club,’
‘Just have a look at their results, El Cholo [Diego Simeone] is doing great things. It is not easy to reach two Champions League finals and win the league.
‘I am happy here. I am trusted by the manager and my team-mates.
‘I am feeling important here, and if they’ll offer me a new contract, I’ll sign it because I am very happy with this great club.’
Cazorla joined Arsenal from Malaga in the 2012 summer transfer window and his impressive performances have helped the North London outfit to win the FA cup twice.
He has scored 29 goals since he arrived at Arsenal, none more crucial than his amazing free kick in the Cup Final at Wembley, against Hull City in 2013.
