Michael Owen reacts to brilliant Arsenal victory against Basel
Champions League

Following Arsenal’s brilliant display against Basel at the Emirates Stadium which ended a 2-0 win, interesting pundit and ex-England international Michael Owen took to social media to admit that even his was impressed with the frankly breathtaking performance by The Gunners.
Arsenal started the game quick out of the blocks, and Theo Walcott banged in two great goals, and several other chances went begging as Arsenal looked to increase the tally.
Walcott himself has found a rich vein of form of late, and his recent performances have been lauded by football experts, as well as Michael Owen and Rio Ferdinand. Theo played well in pre-season, and his recent performances against Chelsea and in the Basel game have prompted many fans to eat their words after a very poor last season for Theo (not us, we’ve always loved him, ahem).
Owen said, speaking on BT Sport is quoted as saying via thesportreview:
“If they (Arsenal) wanted to score more, I think they could have to be honest. Certainly in that first half there were loads of chances and they could have gone in four or five up. It was one of those really comfortable nights for Arsenal. They played particularly well, and they’re in fine form.”
Arsenal will be looking forward to playing Burnley on Sunday, and will looking to build on some impressive recent performances and take our unbeaten streak to nine games.
