The ArsenalShorts Big Wednesday 7th September Round Up

Round-Up

Big news of the day already is that goal machine Nicklas Bendtner is all set for a return to the English league, with a move to our league cup opponents; Nottingham Forest.

Mathieu Flamini is having a medical at Palace as we speak, so he’ll probably delay saving the world for yet another season to join up with The Eagles.

The rest of the waffle today, is Shkodran Mustafi saying what a handful Lucas Perez is to play against. Coming from a World Cup winning defender, that’s high praise indeed, so lets hope Perez is the droid we’ve been looking for. Mustafi said:

“He is uncomfortable to play against. He’s a good striker – he has everything a striker needs. He works a lot for the team as well and he creates chances…”

Rumours afoot that Mustafi will start this weekend’s game against Southampton, but that remains to be seen. Same outfits are saying Oli G will start ahead of Perez, so let’s wait and see. These people have a 50/50 chance of being right in all fairness.

Alex iWobi is back in training, but it sounds like the match will come round too quick for Ramsey, who is likely to be rested another few days.

Xhaka Sent Off…
Granit Xhaka was sent off last night for Switzerland after two yellow cards against Portugal, as the Swiss ran out 2-0 winners against the European Champions.

Meanwhile, Takuma Asano scored a beaut for Japan against Thailand this week. See The Mirror who have the proof.
