Arsene Wenger has managed to silence the haters, with his late show in the transfer window, but it’s his early acquisition which is getting the most plaudits. Granit Xhaka is firmly embedding himself as an Arsenal regular with yet another amazing performance, this time in the 3-1 win away at Watford this weekend.
Yesterday marked Ozil’s first start of the season, and he was amazing throughout and scored the last Arsenal goal on the stroke of half time, heading home from a pinpoint Alexis Sanchez cross.
Ozil and Xhaka combined perfectly throughout the game, and Xhaka’s pace, clever movement and passing was a feature of the game. We now have a couple of weeks to get The iWobi back, along with Aaron Ramsey, but of whom were injured against Liverpool in the first game of the season.
Arsene Wenger will be keen to embed our two new signings into the squad, Perez will immediately join with his new team mates, while Mustafi will join after the international break.
The Swiss international followed in Lucas Podolski’s social media addict footsteps and took to Twitter to tweet a selfie of him and German international midfielder Mesut Ozil after yesterday’s clash.
This is Xhaka’s tweet:
