Sky journalist gives update on Arsenal’s pursuit for world-cup winner, not Draxler
After a disappointing start to the season, manager Arsene Wenger is said to going all out to reinforce his squad ahead of our next few games (I’ll believe it when I see it).
After the Leicester game last weekend which ended in a 0-0 draw, many Arsenal fans, including me were pointing the finger of blame at Arsene Wenger for not getting our transfer business done early enough, and for leaving gaps in our team which were apparent, weeks if not months ago.
Our French manger continues to be strongly linked with a move for German international defender Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia, along with other, slightly more tentative links to Jonny Evans, and tonight I am now reading Man United’s Phil Jones… wait, what?!
Anyway, the chances of the 24-year-old Mustafi coming to The Emirates, took yet another positive turn earlier this week, with the news that a Sky journalist gave things a huge boost, saying the move is still moving, and it is Valencia now standing in the way of the move, asking for more money than was originally agreed in a bid to hike up the price:
Player wants to join @Arsenal. @valenciacf trying to maximize fee. @MustafiOfficial waits to sign contract. Still no decision. Talks today!

Mustafi won the last world-cup with Germany and I truly believe he is the perfect defensive partner for Laurent Koscielny to solve most (if not all) of our defensive problems.
