Manager confirms 21 goal hitman could be sold – personal terms agreed with Arsenal

As Arsene Wenger continues hunting for that illusive striker, like a deranged Pokemon Go player, it looks like Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette could be back on his radar (Zzzz).

Last week the French club confirmed that, along with a bid from West Ham, our original £29.3million bid was turned down, but yesterday Lyon Manager Bruno Genesio admitted that Lacazette could now be sold.

Genesio is quoted as saying in The Daily Express:

“He can leave if Lyon wants him to. There are some offers that you cannot refuse…”

It was further reported by Le10 Sport that personal terms have already been agreed between the player and Arsenal and it’s thought we are set to return with an improved bid any day.

With Olivier Giroud said to be out for the opening match of the season against Liverpool due to his Euro 2016 involvement, Alexis Sanchez is also a doubt with an ankle injury picked up at the Copa America, and Danny Welbeck sidelined for the long term, it seems Wenger is fast running out of options.

Lacazette, 25, is one of the most prolific strikers in Europe and scored 21 goals in just 34 league appearances for Lyon last season and whether we return with another bid is yet to be seen.
