World cup winner jets in to London to complete Arsenal move amid Chelsea and City interest

Nigerian Under 20 midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali has been linked with a move to Arsenal for a while, and it seems the player will finally signed for Arsenal and is jetting in to London, according to AllNigeriaSoccer.

The report claims the deal will be finalised very soon, and that U17 World Cup winner is London bound, and left from the airport in Lagos Murtala Muhammed earlier today.

It’s thought that although the deal has been agreed for a while, but because of work permit issues, and his international side’s busy schedule, the deal has been delayed but will hopefully be tied up imminently.

Nwakali will probably be sent out on loan straight away in order if the work permit application is unsuccessful, and its rumoured that Sir Wenger has personally said that he and the club will do everything they can to secure the documentation to allow him to play in Europe.

We will pay around £3m to his current club, ASJ/Diamond Academy and Nwakali has also been eyed by West Ham, Manchester City and Chelsea but it looks like we’ll be getting the player in the coming days, making the Nigerian our 4th signing of the summer. The move comes after the signings of the impressive Rob Holding, the sublime Granit Xhaka and the little Japanese fella Takumo Asano.

Let’s hope that Le Boss hasn’t finished his summer shopping just yet…
