Injury latest and players returning type style update

The Rovers Return…

Arsene Wenger, instead of being out and signing new players for The Arsenal, has confirmed Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey will join the squad for our upcoming game against Viking this Friday.

Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil are more likely to not be involved, but Wenger did say:

“I don’t think they will be involved…”

…meaning there’s a chance they could be still, but probably won’t be. We then play Manchester City in Gothenburg on Sunday, our last game ahead of the new season start the following Sunday.

Injury Update…
As the new season approaches, it wouldn’t be Arsenal if we didn’t have some injury problems, and it looks like Jack Wilshere has picked up knee knack.

He missed the game against the Guadalajara All Stars – Chivas branch, but A. Wenger hopes the injury isn’t serious, and hopes Jack will fly to Scandinavia later in the week to join the rest of the squad.

It’s been claimed that Santi Cazorla will be short for the season opener. There’s not even any need to make a short guy joke here, so I won’t bother. Santi played the first half in LA, but Wenger has said he’s not quite fully fit yet, and may not quite be ready for the Liverpool game.

And as Wenger looks for a replacement for Mertesacker, Keiran Gibbs has spoken out about the loss of the BFG:

“Per is a big loss on and off the pitch as he is one of our biggest characters and a leader, we are a young squad in general and with Per out for a few months it is a good opportunity for the young players and for those looking to become more senior and fill his role off the pitch…”
