Sky Sports confirm Arsenal have agreed another transfer deal
With all eyes on the incoming players at The Emirates, Arsene Wenger is also busy arranging loan deals and trying to offload some of the players who aren’t required at The Arsenal next season.
Amongst others, Le Boss has already offloaded Dan Crowley to Oxford United, and with Jon Total off to Spain, it’s also looking likely that Mathieu Debuchy will depart, with Bordeaux being his most likely suitors.
It seems as though, despite being in America on our US tour, Wenger has been busy tying up another deal, with the news that there’s been an agreement between AS Roma and Arsenal for the extended loan of goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Arsenal and Roma will split the Pole’s £2.5m salary, while the Italians will pay Arsenal around £1m to secure Szczesny’s services.
They have also insisted on an option for a permanent deal at the end of next season, rumoured to be worth around €16m.
Sky journalist, and er… Italian, tweeted confirmation of the deal:

Szczesny, 26, was plagued by off-field problems, and seemed to fall out with Arsene Wenger after Benson-and-Hedges-gate away at Southampton, following one of his worst performances in an Arsenal shirt With that in mind, and with the subsequent acquisition of Petr Cech, Szczesny found himself crashing down the pecking order.
