Weekend Round UpRound-Up, Transfers July 25, 2016

RC Lens 1-1 Arsenal…
In our first friendly of the close season, we fought back from 1-0 down, a classic Vela chip equaliser from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (remember him?!) making the game level.
All eyes now move to our USA tour, with a couple more warm up games as the season fast approaches, with thwo games this week, MLS All Stars on Thursday, early morning and then Mexican side Chivas de Guadalajara on Sunday morning, couple of early starts (or late finishes for us UK based Gooners!).
Literally huge transfer news this weekend as it was claimed by the Mirror that we are all set to tie up a deal for Leicester’s Riyad Marhez, and Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette.
Rumours also came out subsequently that Mahrez may move to Chelsea, and that he also flew to London to meet one of the interested clubs – reminds me of that time Michelle Fowler was pregnant and you had loads of possible Father’s to her baby. Let’s hope we end up as Dirty Den Watts from the Queen Vic and not as Ali Osman from the Caff, although not the being shot and dumped in the river part in DDW’s case.
Things have gone very quiet since the report, and the only additional news on that, is that the Leicester owner is saying the player is happy with Leicester and going nowhere, so that makes him like Lofty Holloway in a sense as he should have been the real father from what I remember. Come to think about it, what a banger Michelle was with that many possible Dads – anyways…
Adams Goes for a Chinese…
With all the hoo-ha which went with the Thierry Henry U18s Managerial role, Tony Adams has done things a lot simpler. I’m off to China, thanks Arsenal – boom, gone. It’s claimed that Adams has taken a job in China as head of development with Chongqing Lifan, shunning Arsenal’s offer to coach the Under 18 squad.
The trouble with being Head of Youth Developlement in China is once you lose your job, ten minutes later you want to become Head of Youth Development again… or something…
