Deal done: 4 years deal agreed, player set to complete move

Arsenal’s Brazilian youngster Wellington Silva posted a picture of himself in the shirt of his former club this week and noted it, ‘A good son always returns home’.

This would suggest that Wellington is on his way back to his way back to Brazil to re-sign for his former club.

A Brazilian journalist, Renan Moura – who works with Brazilian radio station Globo/CBN Rio, claimed that the Brazilian international is now on the verge of move back to Brazil and has a four year deal in place with Fluminense.

The tweet above was translated “Danilinho and Wellington Silva closed the final details of the negotiations and are Flu players”
Moura gave another update on the deal, tweeting:

In English when translated reads “Danilinho signs contract for one year. Wellington Silva returns with four-year bond…”

The 23-year old ace joined Arsenal during the summer of 2010, but was sent out on loan to gain some experience playing for various clubs; Ponferredina, Levante, Alcayano, Almeria and Murcia as the Gunners were unable to get him work permit.

Silva, 23, never played a single match for the French manager’s team; however, in 2014, he was granted a Spanish passport, which qualified him to play for Arsenal.

Last season, he was sent out on loan to Bolton Wanderers but he failed to live up to expectations at the club and they were relegated from the second tier of English football.

He was criticised by Bolton boss Neil Lennon, stating that Silva was not good enough to earn his position in the Lancashire team. Silva’s current contract with Arsenal was set to end in the summer of 2018, but it seems the move to his club of original Fluminense has been finalised. Watch this space for more news.
