To Hull …and Back… Barca Next, gulp!…
Arsenal 0-0 Hull City…
Once again, our strikers (not you Oli) drew a blank, meaning we’ll have to replay the tie to win the right to face Watford at home in the quarter finals.
Even with Theo, The Ox, Alexis, Chambers, Iwobi all doing their utmost, we couldn’t break down the visitors. There’s still no official word on the replay, but it’s expected to be the week after we play Spurs, will let you know as soon as we know, give or take a few days or weeks or so.

Wenger Speaks Out…
Following the draw with Hull City, Wenger was left understandably frustrated: “It was frustrating because we had a lot of the ball, many shots and we couldn’t finish the game off because they defended well and we lacked a bit of quality in the final pass. I am frustrated not to have won the game but we could have, and we hope to qualify at Hull and between a replay and going out, I’m happy to have a replay…”
Sanchez is Ready for Barca…
According to AW, Alexis will be fully fit and raring to go against his old side on Tuesday night.
AW said, after a rusty looking Sanchez couldn’t quite win it for us on Saturday: “Don’t worry about Tuesday, he’ll be tuned in. He is about focus, I don’t think he was completely ready to come on [v Hull]. It looked like that, but he grows with the game. He has a game based on risk and so when he’s not completely, completely highly tuned in, it becomes dangerous…”
Can We Beat ’em? Kos We Can!
Laurent Koscielny was in bouyant mood ahead of the visit of Europe’s second best club. The French accordian factory owner said: “We have to take pleasure in the match and give 100 per cent to get a good result at home.
He said: “Yes, it’s possible to beat them, we have a great keeper in Petr Cech and when it comes to defence it’s not just the back four. The whole team must do well in between the lines. We have done it in the league – play deep, defend together and hit them on the break, then we are capable of getting a good result…”
Let’s hope so!
